Registration for the RiverHawks
Fall Development League is now
open!
Join the RiverHawks Baseball
Club for our High School Fall
Development League.
The
RiverHawks Baseball Club
announces that registration is
now open for our 11th Annual
Fall Development League.
This league is geared toward
high school athletes; however,
we do welcome athletes in the
eighth grade to try out.
This year we
are excited to announce that we
will have two levels of teams:
Single A/Double AA level and
Triple AAA level.
We are also announcing
that we will have teams based in
the Coeur d’Alene region.
We are very enthused
about having more athletes from
this region joining our league!
The
Single A/Double AA level is for
athletes who are in grades 8, 9,
and 10 (in the 2010-2011 school
year). If you
are in the 9th or 10th
grade, you are guaranteed to be
on a team; however, if you are
in the 8th grade, you
are not guaranteed to be placed
on a team, but will be evaluated
during the tryout.
The Single A/Double AA
games will consist of one
12-inning game.
Detailed information
regarding the fees will be found
in the document titled
Information For The 2010 Season,
which you will find in the
Registration Packet (please find
the link provided after this
article).
The Triple
AAA level is for athletes who
are in grades 11 and 12 (in the
2010-2011 school year).
Dependent upon their
skill level, some 10th
grade athletes may be asked to
join the Triple AAA level.
Games for this level will
consist of double headers.
The early registration
fee for Triple AAA is $175.
Please note that the late
registration fee for this level
is $225.
Detailed information regarding
the fees will be found in the
document titled Information
For The 2010 Season, which
you will find in the
Registration Packet (please find
the link provided after this
article).
A Draft Day
will be held on Saturday, August
28 at Gonzaga Prep (1224
E. Euclid Avenue in Spokane).
For athletes who do not
pre-register, there will be
registration from 9:30 a.m. to
11:00 a.m.
Athletes who have pre-registered
only need to attend the Tryout
portion of this day (please show
up around 10:30 p.m. in case
they start early).
Tryouts will be held from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The purpose of the tryout
is for the coaches to evaluate
the skill level of each athlete.
Please note that those in
9th through 12th
grade are guaranteed to be
placed on a team; however,
tryouts will be used to
determine whether or not 8th
grade athletes will be placed on
a team.
The official
start date for the season is
Sunday, September 12; and will
meet every Sunday through
October 10.
Athletes are asked to arrive at
your scheduled field by 11:15
a.m. in order to begin promptly
at 11:30 a.m. with a one-hour
skills clinic, followed by your
game(s). It
is estimated that games may end
around 5:00 p.m. or a bit later.
Fields are located at
Spokane-area High Schools and
Coeur d’Alene area High
Schools/Fields.
All athletes will receive
a game schedule so that they
know at which field they will
play each Sunday.
For detailed
information regarding the early
and late registration fees, as
well as our cancellation and
refund policies, please view the
information page of the
Registration Packet, which you
