RiverHawks host Goldpanners!

In 1959, Alaska officially joined the Union as the 49th state. That same year, the Alaska Goldpanners took the field as the state’s newest summer collegiate baseball team. As a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of both their team and their state, the Goldpanners are sending a special traveling team – the Midnight Sun Goldpanners – on the road this summer for a historic barnstorming trip that will include an exhibition game with the Spokane RiverHawks.

WCL Hawaiian Vacation Giveaway!





The West Coast League Hawaiian Vacation Giveaway is a league wide contest that runs from June 5 – July 31st with the Spokane RiverHawks winner being announced Sunday, August 9th at the ballpark. Fans can enter the contest at any RiverHawks home game at either Avista Stadium or Washington Trust Field.

     The Spokane RiverHawks winner will receive an autographed team baseball, an autographed team bat and four tickets to a 2010 Mariners’ game at Safeco Field. In addition to these great prizes, the Spokane RiverHawks winner will then be entered into the Grand Prize drawing with the winners of the other seven teams in the West Coast League for a 1-in-8 chance of winning the Hawaiian vacation.
    
     The Grand Prize winner will be announced on August 10, 2009. The Hawaii vacation includes 2 round-trip tickets on Hawaiian Air from Portland or Seattle to Honolulu and a 5 nights stay at the newly renovated Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel..

TheRiverHawks are pleased to offer instructional baseball camps, starting this sum-mer! -Baseball Camp I will run July 24, 25, and 26. The camp will focus primarily on pitch-ing and hitting, as campers will be heading into the summer baseball season. Start time will be 10:00 AM, and run until 3:00 PM.
