Make Your “Nest” a RIVERHAWKS Home
Spokane RiverHawks are a collegiate invitational team,
and players come from all over the United States, leaving their home town in
order to hone their baseball skills, as well as to represent Spokane. Therefore, it is up to the baseball fans in
the Spokane area to support these young men in fulfilling their dreams, and
assist the RiverHawks staff in taking care of our players.
You may give your support by opening your home to one or two
RiverHawks players this summer!
WHAT THE PLAYERS GET: The Host Family provides a
bedroom for the player(s), as well as up to three meals per day when they are
home (once you look at our schedule, you will see that they are home less than
half of the time). There are only 21 home games between June 23rd
and Aug. 4th, 2008, although players will be arriving in Spokane for
practice in early June, and may depart as late as after the WCCBL Chamionships, Aug. 19th (at least we hope so!).
WHAT THE HOSTS GET: In return, the player will be a mentor to any
of your younger baseball players, making time to play some ball and give some
pointers. Members of the immediate host family
will also receive free 2008 season tickets to all of the RiverHawks home games. Game schedules are currently available to
help you coordinate your summer plans around hosting a player or players.
